It has also been a big month for me as I celebrate 1 month of blogging and almost 3,000 views in that time! I attended Fash Fest last night, a runway industry showcase featuring local up and coming designers in an effort to attract industry and retail buyers.
This three-day event has been created by Presence II Productions, a Michigan based, woman-owned company, founded by CEO, Leslie Ann Pilling, whose passion is to outreach to her community, both through her partnership with local charity Forgotten Harvest, and her dedication to boosting an economic redirection in the state of Michigan.
I was excited (per usual) about 3 things last night:
1.) I wanted to rock a new look....well new for ya'll
2.) I couldn't wait to meet my new fashion blogger sisters in real life.
3.) The Fotoula Lambrose showcase
"I AM NOT MY HAIR"As of late I have been a little bored with my hair, even toying with the idea of cutting it all off. You see, I get bored easily and I am always looking for something fresh and new. I think I've had every hair style trend known to man except for the dreaded Jheri curl. One day I may blog about my hair journey, that would be funny! Ok back to the point....one of my sisters always wraps her hair so beautifully. Her creations look like art. Here is my first little attempt....
My sister wrapped my hair for my Fash Fest look last night....I was going for the Queen Latifah "U.N.I.T.Y" meets Beyonce "Freak em dress" look last night. LOL!

Local designer Fatoula Lambrose specializes in Natural Textiles and Avant Garde Design. I first met Fatoula at Downtown Detroit Days and she had all these beautiful tie-dyed tops and tie-dyed clothing is one of my favorite things!
